How many things you can do in 4'33"? Many.... for sure ... but stop and listen for a moment outside instead of your inside "birds"
---------------------------------------- ... a new piece for my collection named Utopica NonUtopica. Here is about John Cage concept (I would used cage symbol anyway ) and his famous maybe most controversial compositions of the twentieth century, 4'33" (1952).

I'll try explaining main line of this concept. Sure it's a personal interpretation.
Music we are listening to, the ambient ones for instance, creates a special atmosphere, let us traveling inside us. It's a kind of behavior. Even with music for dance - we express ourselves, what we feel inside, you know.
Silence is the opposite pole, let us flowing outside - in this way you can be focus on things that are run around you. Pure silence not exists. If you are in the wood you can hear wind between branches, birds. If you are in town and you are stopping for a moment and listen to - you will hear, cars, voices, turmoil (uproar).
Silence let you explore the outside of your own world. Somehow here is the idea, of the way I see the Cage experiment. Hope my English not the be desastruous in explanation
hope you like it and can give a fav to it
