Someone mentioned (somewhere) that you have overcome your aversion to blue... I agree.
The complements of yellows and oranges are magnificent!
I saw people talking about green in the same terms I feel the blue. Curiously green is fine to me, never too complicate in combination or stand alone... Working with complementary color of blue - colors are screaming, aggressive our eyes saying loud the message - just perfect in advertising realm. Personally I prefer yellow combined with black and red instead of blue... but for special mood blue is always a miraculous ingredient
Color has powers, we only have to exploit them correctly
