Mia camera da letto by bymano Mia camera da letto by bymano
I don't know how others see their works. Do they see them alive in other mediums... outside?... as postcards, rooms, books, on streets, tunnel :D (yeee I have some for tunnel ;)) etc.
Personal I always imagine my works as reflection in spaces. Even so, sometimes it's difficult to find the right place where they can live and rise everything around.

When you move the point of view starting from the middle of a room, you'll find out easily, that rustic style asks particular images hang on the wall, modern other kind or works and so on... Images/painting comes in dialog with rest of ambient and vice-verse. Plus, thought take forms of space... it's an interesting process that make your thinking versatile and flexible. When I will be able to make (sculpturing) furniture I'll be on the next level :)... anyway most of cases the start of such of work is vice verse - furniture exists. In fact, it's the only thing that exists

I not expect people react on this subject because until you don't face the theme and treat by yourself, do it by yourself, you can't taste it at full beauty.

I am not yet to the level where I make furniture, but I already make lamps... and it is fun to think outside the box!
Another interesting idea of yours, to reuse "advertising" and including your art in it, very inspiring.

you did lamps, very cool! I like people that not refuse doing other things than usual - that is open mind.

(advertising rarely is boring, that's why I like it)

Yes, advertising could almost motivate me to watch TV sometimes... but I haven't yet done that :D

:D :D I can imagine every word... and yep is damn low, like you are sleeping in a sport car (I saw you like cars ;)

If you would like for next generation of bed to be with one step ahead and remain in the cars realm - what about Ferrari bed - [link] (personal I find it interesting)
or classic,
or rustic
or...
ohhh there are sooo many ideas... and such a difficult choice!

oh i'd love to imagine mine as big on a wall, even sometimes bigger, specially the abstract ones, like a wall paper.
but maybe in a little more crowded place (even if i love minimalism in interior design) only not very practical..
the crowded places (crowded with taste) ages better, i think. minimalist requires minimum use too, to remain beautiful.

anyway, this is wonderful!

hanan it's simple. Choose couple images you imagine in very large version. Preferably the resolution of image to not go under 200dpi for a good definition - or maybe because your images are not based on clear shapes maybe could be 150dpi -it depends by image. If you work on diapositive the image resist pretty good on scaling (expecialy if it is large dia) if the image is digital you have some limitation but for huge dimension posible to use some filter to rise definition without losing quality or other tips and tricks (again it depends by image).

About home yes I do agree, I like home as you say like a nest, cozy...

normally they are digital and 300dpi, the size can normally go to one meter without problems, i tried it.
yes, i've been told about the tricks, but i usually don't want to see my images hanging on my walls, but on other people's walls.
i've sold some, but in average sizes...

gives me an idea for my next(hypothetical)exposition i will print only few, but very very big sizes.
should look awesome! :D

once I have to do a Stand - made with 14 walls plus colums, entering etc - for a fair exhibition. The firm that print - a big one from USA accept only images CMYK at 100 dpi. I was surprise to me because I never used 100dpi for large / huge images. But here it was no choice - they give me a list where I have indications for everything: fonts, colors, if if is bipmap or vertorial preparation, special color (American use a different standard color instead of Pantone)... and if I not respected their requests they not print. The final printing was above my expectation...

Then I learnt - if quality of material is good - when you look at it 1:1 - even at 100 dpi - the work will be fine. Plus at a wall you don't look at 1 m distance... it need space like a large TV Plasma... and from distance eye compesate the lack of definition.

For your expo I can say simple - big sizes are impressive, I'm sure you will want more and more :D. Posters has an effect of strong coffe... in this way I fell inlove to see works (mine or customers) at large dimensions.
